Archeology exhibition
The "Archaeology" Section (from the Neolithic Age to the late Bulgarian Middle Ages) is displayed in 9 halls on the first floor, covering 600 square meters of the exhibition area. The interest of the visitors is strongly aroused by the collections of tools, prehistoric worship works of plastic arts, objects from everyday life, Thracian motive tablets and bronze works of plastic arts, coins, pottery, medieval jewels and a church plate. The restoration of a typical abode-workshop from the Eneolithic Age, of a Thracian tomb and a battering-ram afford the attractive opportunity, particularly for the younger visitors, to acquire clearer and more vivid ideas of those times.
